For people suffering with diabetes, life insurance has always been a tricky issue, usually with very high costs to buy any kind of cover. However, Royal London has now stepped up to the mark and launched its long-awaited life cover for diabetics.
The insurer says that the policy has been set up so that provided the customer shares their HbA1c test results on an annual basis, premiums can be reduced by up to 40% to reflect how the diabetes is being managed. Premiums are also guaranteed never to rise above the customer’s starting premium in order that cover can be maintained.
